JBWR 7/10

A 2 hour walk around the West Pond produced 40 species. Spotted Sandpiper and 3 Short-billed Dowitchers were an indication that shorebirds are starting to return from their breeding ground (or that some never made it that far.) A flock of peeps swirled around the pond; some can tell what kind of sandpipers they are in flight--I'm not one of those people.
