Surprisingly, at least to me, today is the 1/2 way point of the year, not June 30. I did my birding at Colliers Mills this morning and in the backyard this afternoon and turned up nothing special--I thought I was going to have to use
Tufted Titmouse, from the quickly diminishing
reliable list, but I was sitting outside as dusk turned to night when 2
Common Nighthawks flew overhead, fairly low. I've been looking for them every clear evening since the Spring and finally found a couple to extend the streak another day.
